One of my favourite childhood African Dramas - Zebrudaya

The first clip is from a scene in this classic African drama set in Nigeria, my home country. Here, Zebrudaya watches his wife verbally attacked by his sister but he stands up for his wife. In the second clip, the story develops involving his friend who hasn't been to his own home for days, questioning his wife's attitude to her sister-inlaw. The man of the house finally rises up and puts his house in order but with the help of his friend's mother and wife. It becomes quite entertaining and also highlights the difficulties faced by married women without children in an African home.

The animal print trend has taken to the streets of the world this autumn winter 2011 season with a force that may make you doubt that we are on a verge of the second blow of recession.

We are constantly bombarded by images of it where ever fashion meets the eye really. I am truly overwhelmed by all the high street shops purging this trend.

But will you blame them!!!

It is simply classic, never out of fashion, wild with a tinge of danger..

In our current financial climate it is probably the wildcard vibe some people can do without..

But this is fashion, which has yet to succumb to the world trade markets...

You  love!!! You must buy it before it’s gone...

Well...

I truly love!!! I already have it!!! I will not buy it this season except I am tempted!!!

Now...This is one thing fashion excels in!!!! TEMPTATION!!!!

Music weekend 1 features NNEKA with 'SOUL IS HEAVY'

Nneka, the featured artist is a Nigerian-German songwriter and singer.

I got to know about her music during my life in Northern Ireland with songs like 'heart beat' which I played really loud on my purple ipod whilst I walked about

 the streets of Belfast.

The saying goes 'Home is where your heart is'.

So here is a more light hearted song from her upcoming album called ' My home'

The official album 'Soul is Heavy' will be released on the 26th of September, 2011.

I join the vast majority of bloggers that have used this picture in editorials to death.. Regardless of this fact, I will forever remain fascinated by this shot. I can feel the energy in this man's stride as he pounds the impoverished streets of an African state somewhere with pride. The saying goes 'It is not where you are from but where you are'. In his state of mind he is probably somewhere besides the chaos that surrounds him. I applaud the photographer for captivating us all with such strong images and his model for doing a beautiful job.
